- Introduction
These Advertising Terms and Conditions (“Advertising Terms”) govern the submission, publication, management and removal of advertisements on the Rintes UK website at www.rintes.uk (“Website”).
In these terms, “Rintes UK”, “Rintes”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the legal entity operating the Website, whose full legal name and registered details must be inserted before publication. “Advertiser”, “you” and “your” refer to any person or business submitting an advertisement.
By submitting an advertisement, you agree to these Advertising Terms, the Website’s main Terms and Conditions and any applicable fee or advertising package conditions.
- Purpose of the marketplace
Rintes UK operates an online marketplace through which private individuals, motor dealers and other businesses may advertise vehicles, boats and eligible equipment for sale.
Categories may include cars, vans, trucks, motorcycles, motorhomes, caravans, agricultural machinery, plant and construction equipment, boats and other approved transport assets.
Unless an advertisement expressly identifies Rintes UK as the seller, the advertiser is responsible for the advertised item and any resulting sale. Publication of an advertisement does not mean that Rintes UK owns, has inspected, has approved or guarantees the item.
- Eligibility and registration
3.1. Advertisers must provide accurate registration and contact information.
3.2. You must be legally entitled to advertise the item, either as its owner or as a person authorised by its owner.
3.3. Business advertisers must provide accurate business information when requested, including their trading identity and relevant contact details.
3.4. You must select the correct seller classification, such as “Private Seller”, “Trade Seller” or “Rintes UK”, as applicable.
3.5. A person or business acting commercially must not misrepresent themselves as a private seller to avoid applicable requirements or mislead buyers.
3.6. We may request evidence of identity, business status, ownership, authority to advertise or other information reasonably required to assess an advertisement.
- Advertiser responsibilities
You are responsible for ensuring that each advertisement:
- Is accurate, current, complete and not misleading.
- Correctly identifies the item and its seller.
- Uses genuine photographs of the item, unless an illustrative image is clearly identified.
- Accurately describes condition, mileage or usage, specifications, age, price, location and other material details, where applicable.
- Discloses known significant defects, damage, material modifications or other information that could reasonably affect a buyer’s decision.
- Does not infringe another person’s intellectual property, privacy or other legal rights.
- Complies with applicable laws, regulations and these Advertising Terms.
You must not advertise stolen property, an item you have no authority to sell, a non-existent item, an item prohibited by law or an item whose advertisement would be unlawful or misleading.
- Photographs and descriptions
5.1. Photographs and descriptions must relate to the advertised item and must not materially misrepresent its condition or features.
5.2. Do not use another seller’s photographs, manufacturer images or other copyrighted content without permission or a lawful basis for use.
5.3. Do not digitally alter photographs in a way that conceals damage, changes the apparent condition or otherwise misleads buyers.
5.4. Where a photograph is illustrative rather than a photograph of the actual item, you must clearly identify it as such.
- Prices and commercial information
6.1. The advertised price must be accurate and expressed in the currency indicated on the Website.
6.2. Advertisers must clearly disclose any material conditions affecting the price, including whether the price includes applicable taxes or mandatory charges, where relevant.
6.3. Advertisers must not use an artificially low price to attract enquiries if the item cannot be purchased on the advertised terms.
6.4. Any advertising fee or paid promotional feature offered by Rintes UK will be disclosed before the advertiser commits to the charge.
- Listing fees and payment
7.1. The Website may offer free advertisements, paid listings, subscription packages or optional promotional services.
7.2. Applicable charges, payment terms and the duration of any paid service will be communicated before purchase.
7.3. Unless expressly stated otherwise, an advertising fee pays for the advertising service and does not guarantee a sale, a minimum number of enquiries or a particular position in search results.
7.4. Any cancellation or refund will be handled in accordance with the applicable fee terms and mandatory legal rights.
7.5. Rintes UK will not charge an undisclosed fee or treat an optional paid feature as mandatory without clearly informing the advertiser.
- Publication, moderation and removal
8.1. We may review advertisements before or after publication.
8.2. We may refuse, suspend, edit for formatting, restrict or remove an advertisement where we reasonably believe it breaches these terms, is misleading, is unlawful, presents a security risk, infringes rights or could expose users or Rintes UK to harm.
8.3. Where appropriate, we may ask an advertiser to correct or clarify information before an advertisement is published or restored.
8.4. We may suspend or restrict an account for repeated or serious breaches.
8.5. We do not promise that every advertisement will be checked, that every inaccurate statement will be detected or that every fraudulent listing will be prevented.
8.6. Moderation or publication must not be interpreted as a guarantee, endorsement, inspection or verification of an item.
- Enquiries and transactions
9.1. Buyers may contact advertisers using the Website’s available contact or enquiry features.
9.2. Unless Rintes UK is expressly identified as the seller or contracting party, negotiations, payment, transfer of ownership, collection, delivery and the sale contract are between the advertiser and buyer.
9.3. Advertisers are responsible for responding to enquiries honestly and for complying with their legal obligations when selling.
9.4. Rintes UK does not automatically receive or hold payments, deposits or purchase funds for third-party transactions. If a specific service allows Rintes UK to handle a payment, the separate service terms will apply.
9.5. Advertisers must not falsely claim that Rintes UK has inspected, certified, guaranteed or endorsed their item.
- Seller classification and consumer protection
10.1. Advertisers must accurately state whether they are private sellers or acting in the course of a business.
10.2. Business sellers are responsible for complying with consumer protection, product description, pricing, disclosure, cancellation, refund and other legal requirements applicable to their transactions.
10.3. Nothing in these Advertising Terms removes or restricts any consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
- Intellectual property and permission to display content
11.1. You retain ownership of content you submit, subject to any rights held by third parties.
11.2. By submitting content, you grant Rintes UK a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, display, format and distribute that content as reasonably necessary to operate, promote and administer the Website and the relevant advertisement.
11.3. This licence continues for as long as reasonably required to display, administer, archive or deal with the advertisement and associated records, subject to applicable law and our Privacy Policy.
11.4. You confirm that you have the necessary rights and permissions to submit the content and grant this licence.
- Fraud, complaints and suspicious activity
You must not use the Website to facilitate fraud, money laundering, identity theft, unlawful transactions or other prohibited conduct.
If you suspect an advertisement is fraudulent or materially misleading, report it to sales@rintes.uk, providing the listing reference and relevant details. We may investigate and take appropriate action, including removing content, restricting accounts or referring matters to relevant authorities where appropriate.
- Data protection
Personal information submitted through advertising features will be handled in accordance with the Rintes UK Privacy Policy and applicable data protection law.
Advertisers must not misuse personal information obtained through enquiries and must comply with applicable privacy and marketing requirements.
- Availability and liability
We aim to maintain a reliable Website but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that every advertisement will generate enquiries or result in a sale.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where exclusion or limitation would be unlawful, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation or any rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Subject to applicable law, Rintes UK is not responsible for the conduct of independent advertisers or for the condition, ownership, legality or performance of an item advertised by a third party, except to the extent that liability arises from Rintes UK’s own acts, omissions or legal obligations.
- Changes to these terms
We may update these Advertising Terms to reflect changes to the Website, our services or legal requirements. The current version will be published on the Website with an updated date. Where required by law or contract, we will provide appropriate notice.
- Governing law
These Advertising Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory rights that apply to users in other jurisdictions.
