RINTES UK
Shipping and Export Terms and Conditions
Effective date: November, 2026
Last updated: November, 2026
These Shipping and Export Terms and Conditions (“Shipping Terms”) apply to shipping, transport, vehicle export and related logistics services that Rintes UK agrees to arrange or provide.
Services may include the movement of cars, vans, trucks, motorcycles, motorhomes, caravans, boats, agricultural machinery, plant and construction equipment and other eligible assets.
These terms apply only where Rintes UK has expressly agreed to provide or arrange the relevant service. A vehicle or boat advertised on the Rintes UK marketplace is not automatically covered by these Shipping Terms.
In these terms, “Rintes UK”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the legal entity identified in the relevant quotation or service agreement.
Subject to availability and written confirmation, Rintes UK may assist with:
The exact scope of each service will be stated in the quotation or service confirmation. Rintes UK may provide a service directly or arrange for a third-party carrier or service provider to perform part or all of it.
3.1. Customers must provide accurate information about the asset, including its type, dimensions, weight, condition, collection location, destination and any relevant restrictions.
3.2. A quotation may depend on carrier availability, shipping schedules, route, dimensions, weight, port charges, customs requirements, insurance and other operational factors.
3.3. Unless expressly stated otherwise, an indicative quotation is not a confirmed booking or a guarantee that capacity is available.
3.4. A booking becomes confirmed when Rintes UK issues written confirmation identifying the agreed service, price, payment arrangements and any applicable conditions.
3.5. Any material change to the asset, route, destination, service scope or shipment details may require a revised quotation.
3.6. Customers should not arrange irreversible commitments on the assumption that a shipment is confirmed until written confirmation has been received.
4.1. The quotation will identify the agreed price, currency, payment schedule and the services included.
4.2. Depending on the agreed service, charges may include collection, domestic transport, handling, loading, freight, documentation, customs-agent fees, port charges, storage or delivery.
4.3. Unless expressly included in the quotation, the following may be additional costs:
4.4. We will identify material exclusions and foreseeable additional charges in the quotation as clearly as reasonably practicable. Charges that require prior customer approval will be submitted for approval before being incurred, except where urgent action is reasonably necessary to protect the asset or comply with law.
4.5. Payments must be made in accordance with the agreed payment schedule. Any deposit, balance, cancellation charge or refund will be handled under the quotation, service agreement and applicable law.
4.6. Customers should verify payment instructions, especially if they receive a notification that bank details have changed.
The customer must:
The customer must not request the shipment of stolen property, prohibited goods or any item whose export, import or transport would be unlawful.
6.1. The customer is responsible for establishing their ownership of the asset or legal authority to arrange its shipment.
6.2. The customer must disclose any outstanding finance, security interest, ownership dispute, registration restriction or other matter that may affect the right to export or transfer the asset.
6.3. Rintes UK may request additional evidence or suspend arrangements while an ownership or authority issue is investigated.
6.4. Unless expressly included in the written agreement, Rintes UK’s shipping service does not itself transfer ownership of the asset or establish that the customer has good title.
7.1. Export and import requirements depend on the asset, its origin, destination, route and intended use.
7.2. The parties will identify in writing who is responsible for preparing and submitting each relevant export declaration, import declaration, permit, licence or supporting document.
7.3. Where Rintes UK agrees to coordinate customs documentation, the customer must provide accurate supporting information and promptly sign or supply documents reasonably required for the process.
7.4. Customers remain responsible for the accuracy of information and declarations they provide, and for obligations allocated to them under the agreement or applicable law.
7.5. Customs authorities may inspect, detain, reject, seize or otherwise restrict an asset in accordance with their powers. Rintes UK cannot guarantee customs clearance or a particular customs decision.
7.6. The customer must check the destination country’s import rules before committing to a purchase or shipment. This may include age restrictions, roadworthiness or homologation standards, right-hand-drive or left-hand-drive requirements, emissions rules, registration conditions, import permits and restrictions on particular asset types.
7.7. Unless expressly stated in writing, Rintes UK does not guarantee that an asset can be legally imported, registered or used in the destination country.
7.8. If a shipment cannot proceed because a required licence, permit, document or clearance is refused or unavailable, the parties will cooperate to identify available options. Additional costs and cancellation consequences will be dealt with under the agreement and applicable law.
8.1. Collection dates and transport schedules are estimates unless a specific date or deadline is expressly guaranteed in writing.
8.2. The customer must ensure that the collection location is accessible and that the asset is ready for collection as agreed.
8.3. The customer must disclose any condition that may affect safe loading, lifting, towing or transport, including non-running status, unusual weight, oversized dimensions or hazardous materials.
8.4. Special equipment, recovery, crane services, winching or additional handling may incur extra charges where agreed or reasonably necessary due to circumstances not disclosed at booking.
8.5. Loading, securing and handling arrangements will depend on the transport method and the carrier’s requirements.
8.6. Customers must not assume that personal belongings, spare parts, accessories or loose equipment can be carried with a vehicle unless this has been agreed in advance.
Shipping times are estimates unless expressly guaranteed in writing.
Delays may result from weather, port congestion, carrier schedules, mechanical failure, customs checks, inspections, strikes, security restrictions, incomplete documentation or other circumstances outside reasonable operational control.
Where a delay occurs, Rintes UK will provide relevant updates when reasonably available and assist with coordination within the agreed scope of service.
Nothing in this section removes any legal responsibility that Rintes UK may have for its own failure to perform an agreed service.
10.1. The service agreement should specify when responsibility for the asset passes between the customer, Rintes UK and any carrier, and how risk is allocated during collection, loading, storage and transit.
10.2. Customers should not assume that standard freight charges include comprehensive insurance for the full value of the asset.
10.3. Where insurance is available, the quotation should state whether it is included or optional, the insured value, relevant exclusions, excesses and the party responsible for arranging the cover.
10.4. If insurance is not included, the customer should consider arranging appropriate cover before the asset is collected or shipped.
10.5. If damage or loss is discovered, the customer should notify Rintes UK and, where relevant, the carrier or insurer promptly, preserve photographs and other evidence, and follow the applicable claim procedure.
10.6. Claims may be subject to notification deadlines, documentary requirements, policy exclusions and carrier terms. Customers should review these conditions before booking.
10.7. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
If an asset cannot be collected, delivered, cleared or released because of incomplete documents, non-payment, an unavailable recipient or another customer-related issue, additional storage, handling, redelivery or administrative charges may arise.
Where practicable, Rintes UK will notify the customer of the problem and the options available.
No asset will be treated as abandoned or disposed of solely on the basis of these terms without following the applicable agreement and legal requirements.
12.1. Cancellation and amendment rights depend on the confirmed booking, the services already performed, third-party commitments and applicable law.
12.2. The quotation or service agreement should state any applicable cancellation deadline, non-refundable third-party charges and cancellation fees.
12.3. Where a booking is cancelled, Rintes UK will explain any amounts payable or refundable under the agreement and applicable law.
12.4. If Rintes UK cannot provide a confirmed service, we will notify the customer and discuss available alternatives, rescheduling or any refund due under the agreement and applicable law.
12.5. Nothing in these terms excludes a statutory cancellation right or other legal remedy that applies to the customer.
Rintes UK may use independent carriers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs agents, storage facilities and other providers.
Where a third party contracts directly with the customer, that provider’s terms may also apply. Customers should review those terms, particularly regarding insurance, liability, claims deadlines, cancellation and delivery.
Where Rintes UK contracts with a third-party provider on the customer’s behalf, the relevant quotation or agreement will explain the arrangement and the extent of Rintes UK’s responsibility for coordination.
Rintes UK remains responsible for its own contractual obligations and any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Boats, heavy machinery, agricultural equipment and oversized or specialist assets may require additional measurements, lifting arrangements, permits, specialist carriers, cradle or securing arrangements, dangerous-goods declarations or route approvals.
The customer must provide accurate dimensions, weight, configuration, lifting points and any other information reasonably required.
Specialist shipping is subject to a separate assessment and written quotation. Acceptance of a general vehicle shipping request does not automatically confirm that Rintes UK can transport a boat or specialist asset.
Customers should send complaints or shipment-related claims to sales@rintes.uk, including:
We will review the information and respond within a reasonable period. Where another service provider or insurer is involved, we may need to coordinate the response with that organisation.
This process does not remove the customer’s right to pursue any legal remedy available under the relevant contract or applicable law.
Personal information and shipment documents will be handled in accordance with the Rintes UK Privacy Policy and applicable data protection law.
Information may be shared with carriers, freight forwarders, customs agents, insurers, payment providers and public authorities where necessary to arrange or administer the shipment or comply with legal obligations.
Rintes UK will perform its agreed obligations with the standard of care required by applicable law and the relevant service agreement.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Where an event outside a party’s reasonable control prevents or delays performance, the affected party will notify the other where reasonably practicable and take reasonable steps to reduce the effects.
This provision does not automatically excuse payment obligations already due, remove statutory rights or permit Rintes UK to avoid responsibility for failures attributable to its own acts or omissions.
These Shipping Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, subject to mandatory legal rights that may apply in the customer’s circumstances or destination.
